On this very day one year ago, those folks of questionable quality control that is the UAW working in Ford’s Kansas City Assembly plant put together a white F150 in an odd little configuration just right for me. While it would spend the winter on a dealer’s lot in Sherman, TX, we would later be united as truck and owner the following April. Maybe I’ll wash it tomorrow morning to mark the occasion. I’d like to give it a full wax and detail, but I don’t think the wind will be conducive to that.

I’m guessing a single cab white truck was destined to be a fleet work truck. Somehow you saved it from it fate!

This one had the 2.7 ecoboost motor, shortest gears and locking rear end, full tow package, sport package, backup camera and all the usual power accessories. It is actually a white short bed regular cab in a non-work truck configuration. When I bought it there were exactly three trucks in that configuration (which is exactly what I was looking for) on a dealer’s lot West of the Mississippi in any color, so I negotiated over email and flew out to the Dallas area and drove it back home to El Paso.

This is actually largely my ideal F-150 config (love me some shorty trucks), except I’d go the extra few yards and track down some Raptor body panels and front suspension (assuming the rear is different for the short wheelbase).
